Lagniappes opened in 2007 where Chef Chris Silverstein shared his New Orleans inspired menu with all of Allentown.

Lagniappes was best known for it Alligator Roast. The Lagniappes Alligator Roast is always done for Fat Tuesday during Mardi Gras and for the Allentown Art Fest. But we have been known to do it a few other times a year so please check with us for your next chance to try Alligator!

After four years at Lagniappes Chef Chris decided to open his own cafe. He took his award winning menu to a new larger home. Now you can try New Orleans food anytime at The French Quarter Cafe.

Chef Chris Silverstein has more then 25 years of cooking experience he spent 5 years in New Orleans working at the Pelican Club, Hotel Maison de Ville and with Chef Paul Prudhomme.

Chef Chris also wrote the menu’s and ran both of Buffalo’s only New Orleans restaurants One of which is still open using many of his ideas and recipes to this day.

Others may say it but the French Quarter Cafe is the areas only authentic New Orleans eatery run by a Chef with real kitchen experience and routes in the South.
